The end of the restriction on group led walks has coincided with a revision of the requirements relating to the insurance of Ramblers activities.
This means that:
- That all group led walks must have been publicised in advance on either the Ramblers’ or a Group’s website
- Walk Leaders must be registered on the Ramblers Assemble database of Group volunteers
- That a walk has to be reconnoitred in a reasonably close time to the date of the walk
- That the walk leader has to complete and retain a risk assessment form relating both to the walk and precautions to be taken relating to covid-19
- That a walk leader is entitled to specify the maximum group size that they feel comfortable with leading on that particular walk
- There is no limit to the maximum possible group size
Arun-Adur Group’s response:
All Covid restrictions will be lifted on July 19th.
Most walks will no longer need to be booked in advance. Please refer to our programme for exceptions to this and, where necessary, book directly with the walk leader.
